FAO is pleased to announce that the Opening Keynote Address 1 will be delivered by Professor Monkombu Sambasivan Swaminathan, known as the “Father of the Green Revolution in India”, and founder and Chairman of the MS Swaminathan Research Foundation (www.mssrf.org). Opening Keynote Address 2 will be presented by Mr Jiansan Jia, Chief of the Aquaculture Service of the FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Department. World-recognized experts will provide six regional aquaculture development reviews and a global synthesis, to be followed by 22 Expert Panel presentations spread over six broad thematic areas covering key aspects of aquaculture development and management in the coming decades.
